Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has announced its probable candidates for JNU Students Union elections. This time from ABVP, Arjun Anand, Umeshchandra Ajmira, Govind Dangi, Manjul Pawar, Kavya Pal, Medha Singh, Deepika Sharma, Unnati Panjikar, AS. Stalin, Kanishk Gaur, Abhishek Singh, Akash Kumar Rawani are in the fray. Out of these names, the last four names for the JNUSU Central Panel will be decided for the posts of President, Vice President, Secretary and Joint Secretary. ABVP workers are reaching out to every student in different groups through hostel to hostel, class to class campaign. Besides, they are being informed about the positive work done by the Student Council in the interest of the students in the last five years.
In the JNU Students Union elections, elections are to be held for President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and 42 councillors. The election of these 42 counselors will be held in 16 schools and one special combined centre. It was the last date for election nominations. Tomorrow will be the last date for withdrawal of names from election nomination. Also, elections will be held on March 22, for which Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has started its pre-campaign. To make the election campaign effective, ABVP is communicating with the students on a large scale in all the hostels and schools of JNU and spreading the positive work done by the Vidyarthi Parishad to them.
ABVP JNU Minister Vikas Patel said that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is fully prepared for the JNU Student Union elections. We will put forward the student centric agenda of ABVP among the students of JNU through potential JNUSU candidates who have understanding of the issues among the students. Based on dialogue with students, ABVP will soon release its manifesto for a responsible and effective JNUSU. Vidyarthi Parishad has always been the only organization in JNU that struggles and works to understand the problems, needs and demands of the students and reach their corresponding solutions.
